Job Description

Danfoss Turbocor (DTC) is the pioneer and market leader for oil-free centrifugal compressors and is transforming the commercial HVAC chiller market with highest efficiency through innovative technology.  Our company is dedicated to the design, manufacture, and support of the world’s most efficient commercial HVAC compressors. 

This position will support the successful execution of the operations CAPEX portfolio for all Danfoss Turbocor locations.  The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the project portfolio schedule for all manufacturing operations CAPEX projects and supporting the PMO organization through continuous improvement of the Project Management process.  This person will also be expected to manage small scale projects, as needed, to support the overall success of the business. 

Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities
•    Develop master project time schedules for critical investment projects to successfully deliver the strategic portfolio for the Turbocor business.
•    Support the successful execution of the strategic plan CAPEX budget through regular touchpoints with the project owners.
•    Analyze schedules to ensure the most efficient use of resources and accurate finish dates.
•    Provide transparency of project status through updated schedules, reports, and communication that provides the truth of the situation to team and business.
•    Assist with development and improvement of Danfoss Turbocor PMO processes.
•    Assist project teams with cross-functional responsibilities as needed to ensure successful project execution.
•    Host specific project meetings and manage the monthly status reports for the PMO team.

Extended Responsibilities
•    Utilize traditional Industrial/Manufacturing engineering methodology to design optimal factory layouts with respect to material flows and manning loads for a greenfield factory.
•    Lead specific investment projects from concept to implementation as required.

Background & Skills

Requirements
•    Bachelors Degree
•    10+ years managing/implementing capital investment projects in factory environments with project values up to $10M USD.
•    5+ years in an Industrial/Manufacturing operations role with supervisory responsibility
•    Working knowledge of CAD, 2D and 3D
•    MS Office suite
•    MS Project experience required
•    Tecnomatix experience is preferred, but not required
