What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead supplier quality, process, and product audits to qualify suppliers, identify risks, and maintain strong quality performance.
- Partner with suppliers and engineering teams to evaluate component manufacturability and resolve supplier-related quality issues.
- Monitor supplier performance and lead corrective actions, using meaningful metrics and root-cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
- Evaluate nonconforming materials and first articles for custom-fabricated components to support effective disposition and production readiness.
- Collaborate with incoming inspection and cross-functional teams to establish appropriate part surveillance and align supplier quality performance with business objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in a technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of supplier management experience, preferably within the medical device or automotive industry. Supplier management experience within another highly controlled or regulated industry may also be considered.
- Experience with machining, casting, and/or forging and the ability to evaluate manufacturing processes and component manufacturability.
- Auditing experience and training, including ASQ Certified Quality Auditor and/or ISO Lead Auditor training, with familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 9001, IATF, and QSR.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
