The Impact You'll Make
The Q-Lab Team Leader is responsible for managing laboratory operations and calibration. The role involves leading a quality test team to ensure the efficient conduct of experiments and tests, as well as the accuracy and validity of calibration. The ideal candidate will possess solid expertise in testing and calibration, as well as strong leadership skills, and will be able to drive innovation whilst maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
What You’ll Be Doing
Test Coordination and Execution
- Work closely with the team to prioritise testing requirements and ensure the laboratory responds promptly.
- Provide clear and accurate guidance to test personnel and maintain comprehensive records of qualitative and quantitative test results.
Calibration Management
- Develop and implement annual, monthly and weekly calibration schedules.
- Supervise calibration technicians to ensure all company measuring instruments are valid and accurate.
Quality and Safety
- Collaborate with the Quality and Safety departments to implement laboratory projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Team Management
- Lead, guide and mentor laboratory testers and metrologists.
- Participate in testing activities for new products and projects, driving compliance with quality standards.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in lab management, calibration.
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Basic knowledge of quality tools - Control plan, MSA, PPAP.
- Ability to work effectively in a high quality, deadline committed environment.
- Good mindset and outstanding communication skills.
- Strong technical knowledge in materials, manufacturing processes, and testing methods.
