At Danfoss Drives, you will help turn advanced electrical engineering into practical solutions that support a more energy‑efficient and sustainable world. As Application Engineering Trainee, you will learn how our technologies reduce energy use and enable smarter industries.
You will be part of a structured trainee program where learning, collaboration, and real customer impact go hand in hand. From the start, you will work closely with experienced engineers and gain hands‑on exposure to real applications.
By supporting customers and projects across the region, you will directly contribute to how Danfoss Drives helps customers succeed in the green transition – while building a strong foundation for your own technical career.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build strong technical and customer knowledge through an in-depth onboarding and close guidance from an experienced colleague
- Support customers and sales teams with simulations, technical input, and solution design during pre‑sales and project phases
- Participate in customer visits, commissioning, and service trips, learning directly from Application and Service Engineers
- Provide technical and application support for existing customers and installed drive solutions
- Collaborate with local Application Engineers and contribute to a regional project assignment to understand Danfoss Drives across markets
What We're Looking For
- An academic degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field combined with first practical experience from a student or entry-level role
- Enjoyment of working in a customer‑facing, technical environment
- Clear communication skills, curiosity, and strong motivation to learn and grow
- A structured, customer-focused way of working
- Fluent English and Slovenian language skills, spoken and written
- A valid driver’s license and are flexibility with regards to travel
