Job Description

Danfoss is seeking a Plant Controller. As Plant Controller you will manage, control, and analyze the financial development and act as business partner to the plant operational leadership team. You will work closely together with the BU controller in Connect & Control Solutions as well as other company finance functions.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Business analysis and cost control:

- Conduct costs analysis and follow-up on all cost categories (variable costs, OVC, FE, etc.) on a monthly and ad hoc basis, proposing measures to minimize deviations.

- Present financial performance results and policies to Management for appropriate business decision-making.

- Collaborate with different departments to improve results, understand gaps, and assist in closing them.

  • Preparation of quarterly plant forecast, including deviation analysis to budget and previous forecast.
  • Timely and accurate preparation of financial management reporting for the plant (including KPI reporting, analysis, trends).
  • Identifying and communicating risks and opportunities to the Management Team resulting from analysis, proposing corrections, and improvements.
  • Responsible for the coordination and preparation of the annual budget, ensuring the total plant budget meets targets provided by BU Controller/Leadership.
  • Assisting project leaders in the preparation of new AFEs, PDP & DCF models, localizations, and follow-up.
  • Training the organization at all levels within the plant.
  • Facilitate yearly costing run and secure organizational involvement in validation of standards, including monthly material ledger.
  • Participate in Group projects related to the financial area, such as reporting, system implementations, new ERP projects, etc.
  • Assist all levels in the organization with financial questions on a day-to-day basis.

Background & Skills

You hold an MSc in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration and you have 3+ years relevant working experience from a job within finance after graduation.

 

This job requires you to be able to maneuver in a dynamic environment that will both develop and challenge your skills as you stay focused on the path to improve continuously. You work with people from different culture background both internally and externally.

 

Therefore, excellent communications and culture awareness skills is key; the ability to influence others and being a good team player is essential. Moreover, we imagine that you possess outstanding skills in Excel and are more than familiar with SAP and BO.

 

Possessing business minded skills first and foremost in combination with an analytical/systematic approach will be a distinct advantage as the nature of this position requires a high aptitude and ability level. Furthermore, you have proficient understanding of the forecasting and budgeting processes, hence understanding/interpret data and prepare reports is second nature to you.

 

You can also challenge stakeholders, shining a light on the essence of your findings in relation to managing projects and change management processes efficiently.
