Job Description

 

Interested about Product Validation planning and compliance of the Cabinet built AC Drives/Enclosed Power Converters in R&D? If so, you have a great opportunity to be one of the engineers at Danfoss Drives in Vaasa Finland.   

 

Now we are looking for person who has a passionate to create Product Validation Planning for Enclosed AC drive products and execute the plan within the R&D product development team. Your focus can be in Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering with switchgear experience, Energy technology or other relevant. Selected validation test cases are performed both in our own laboratories and in external laboratories.

 

You will be a member of highly motivated product team. Our product teams have technical design responsibility of the Enclosed AC drives and enclosed drive systems and power converters produced in our factories globally. Validation and product compliance are an essential part of the products.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

As the new Validation Engineer, your key tasks are: 


•    Create and maintain Product Test and Approval Plan
•    Ensure quality and traceability of the product requirements to be validated
•    Select and develop required test cases for the product validation within a product team
•    Ensure implementation of the created test plan by defining and organizing test activities together with product team members
•    Participate to the validation activities by helping team in a test laboratory
•    Participate to the test result reviews
•    Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanics engineers, software engineers, test engineers and product owners and external laboratories
•    Ensure thorough testing and validation of power systems and components compliance to quality standards and regulatory requirements
•    Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in product related standards and integrate relevant advancements into our product development processes
•    Implement an agile development mindset, actively participating in regular team meetings, sprints, and iterative design processes, ensuring efficient collaboration and timely project delivery
•    Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices, processes, and tools, driving efficiency and innovation

Background & Skills

To excel in this position you should have:


•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or Mechanical engineering with proven electrical experience or a related field which is supporting Enclosed drive development
•    A good command of English
•    Experience in product testing or engineering, with a focus on product development
•    Capability to learn new tools for product requirement management and test management
•    Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to speak out technical challenges and find creative solutions
•    Strong knowledge or skills to learn product standards such as IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 62477-1, IEC 61439
•    Experience with EMC (IEC 61800-3) is preferred but not mandatory
