Job Description

Role Definition: 

Safely and efficiently perform manual labor during the production process of Danfoss products.  Operate and troubleshoot production machinery and assemble products safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Must be able to learn, apply, and retain new techniques, concepts and procedures required for continuously improving products, processes, services, deliveries, and overall quality.
• Ability to read and understand control plans, routers, job instructions and measurement tools.
• Must meet or exceed all quality standards set by the customers and individual Value Stream.  Must also maintain the quality standards defined for the entire facility.
• Maintain flexibility to be able to move from work area to work area in order to meet the delivery expectations of the customers and the productivity goals for the plant.  Able to work efficiently to establish standards without constant supervision.
• Promotes cooperation and team-oriented work environment at all times under the direction of leadership.
• Creates/maintains a safe work environment and practices safety for themself and others at all times.

Must maintain a clean and well-organized work environment and support our 5S program

Background & Skills

Position Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Ability to communicate verbally and understand written instructions
• Ability to perform basic mathematics
• Knowledge of basic computer skills

Additional Requirements and Skills:

• May be required to drive forklift.
• Attendance, rarely absent or late, pre-schedules and pre-approves absences
• Safety: Follows safety & housekeeping standards and procedures, uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), looks after the safety of others.
• Quality: Responsible for following all department control plans and procedures to ensure accuracy. Follows standard work procedures, self acknowledges and corrects mistakes, works to avoid errors, and get it right the first time.
• Productivity: Ability to meet or exceed productivity goals, manages time wisely, stays on task requiring little supervision to get the job done.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be physically able to wear appropriate PPE
