Job Description

The Danfoss Van Wert, Ohio plant is looking for a Continuous Improvement (CI) Analyst to drive change management initiatives across the site.  As a CI Analyst, you will be driving continuous improvement activities on-site, with the objective to support the factory leadership to further improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 
•    Lead Value Stream Mapping initiatives that capture process steps, systems, hand-offs, interrupters to flow, waste, and misallocated resources
•    Lead Kaizens to eliminate waste, reduce errors, & improve flow.
•    Able to identify key elements of processes to be managed visually.
•    Perform time studies and partner with Finance and Engineering to determine correct rates. 
•    Work with operators to create standard operating procedures and hourly requirements.
•    Utilize operator balance charts and standard combination sheets to develop operating procedures.
•    Develop system and process requirements: job skills and on the job training requirements.
•    Perform set-up & change over reduction activities.
•    Accelerate adoption of employee ideas to increase engagement.
•    Drive rapid problem solving using 8D’s, fishbones, & other problem-solving tools.
•    Apply mistake-proofing concepts to improve quality.
•    Deploy change management and management of change to minimize business disruption.
•    Facilitate best practice sharing across the site as well as with other Danfoss facilities.

Required (basic) qualifications
•    Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
•    Two (2) years manufacturing experience

Preferred qualifications
•    Experience applying lean tools in a manufacturing environment
•    Project Management experience
•    CAD or plant layout experience
•    Lean Six Sigma training and/or experience applying tools

Job Criteria
•    Excellent written and verbal skills, including proficiency with standard office tools (Power BI, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
•    Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate up and down the organization
•    Strong problem-solving skills
