Job Description

This individual will be the voice of the sales team and the customer to ensure that orders are getting expedited properly and customers responses are provided as timely as possible.  This role will supply focused services to Danfoss key customers as assigned (e.g. John Deere, Caterpillar, AIT, Motion). In addition, this individual will serve as an integral part of the plant team.  The primary responsibility will be improving the value that Danfoss provides our key customers and improving our standing as a valued supplier. This will be accomplished through management of our customer’s scorecards and initiatives aimed at improving our results, the proactive monitoring of open orders and addressing supply chain constraints without impact to our customers.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following.

  • Proactively monitor open orders for assigned customer(s) and take action to address supply chain and operational issues (component shortages, capacity constraints, outside vendor processes etc.) without impact to assigned customer(s). Facilitate proactive communications with Key Customers order status and as necessary recovery plans and timing.
  • Coordinate changes to or cancellation of in-house orders/back orders for replacement parts for correcting errors (shortages, wrong items shipped, etc.) for assigned customer(s)
  • Utilize tools such as Danfoss Websites, customer websites/portals, MFG Pro and pharos to ensure delivery to assigned customer(s). Manage planning for these customers.       
  • Receives, investigates and responds to customer inquiries regarding shipments, orders, and product/service issues
  • Maintains key supply chain metrics (OTD) for assigned customer(s) and lead / influences the larger cross functional team in root cause problem solving and proactive improvement initiatives to achieve year over year improvement in Eaton performance and customer scorecard metrics (where applicable).
  • Work closely with Danfoss Site Leaders, Account Managers and Plant facility support groups.  Work directly with Logistics Group.
  • Manage Danfoss owned inventory at Key customers and conduct annual physical inventory at consigned inventory sites. 
  • Participate in / lead Lean improvement events (Kaizen, 5S, Supermarket implementation, root cause problem solving, etc.) to align Danfoss processes to assigned customer(s) expectations.
  • Exhibit a high level of ownership of assigned customer(s) scorecards and develop / implement improvement plans.

Required (basic) qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Must reside within 50 miles of Van Wert, OH -- no relocation benefit offered

 

 Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or Engineering
  • 2 years of experience in Operations or Materials
  • 1 year of supply chain experience using standard MRP system
  • 1 year in a customer facing role
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing tools and structured problem solving

 

Job Criteria

  • Working knowledge of PC utilizing Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Mfg. Pro, and Pharos
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented problem-solving skills and corrective action methodology
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills; professional presence
