Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a ​Maintenance Controls Technician ​to join us at our diverse team in Van Wert, OH. The Maintenance Multi-Craft Controls Tech position, still being multi-craft, is an advanced technician directed by the Maintenance Manager, specializing in all aspects of troubleshooting, repair, upgrades and preventive maintenance of electromechanical controls, PLC, Robotic and automated systems. They will be required to have advanced skills training to be able to design and implement assigned projects solely on their own or working with and or leading other coworkers until completion.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Must be Self-motivated working with minimal direction.  Ability to Update, maintain, trouble shoot and repair complicated automated systems and machines.
  • Use PLC and online applications to analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot automation malfunctions.
  • Develop approved system modifications and procure resources needed to complete modifications.
  • Research parts, tools, and technology.  Maintains a well-organized work environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to always perform and work in a professional manner with all coworkers.

  • High School diploma or equivalent VERIFIED!
  • Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision
  • This position requires standing and/or walking for up to ten hours per day
  • Basic computer skills, ability to use maintenance software, parts and labor software
  • Knowledge of operating lift truck, material handling equipment, man lifts and hand tools.
  • This job requires working daily with lubricants and solvents
