At Danfoss Climate Solutions, within the Service Development team, we are currently looking for a Data Integration Expert.

 

The Service Development team is part of the Electronic Controllers and Services group within Danfoss Climate Solutions - a leading supplier to the refrigeration and air-conditioning industries. Within a high-paced and dynamic environment we have high ambitions to deliver even better digital services to both existing and new customers. To realize our ambitions, we are strengthening our Center of Excellence for IoT Cloud solutions to take our existing service business to the next level

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will be working on a number of projects that are transforming our existing platforms to state-of-the-art cloud-based services and help with the architecture, development test and release of new services. The data integration expert is a key role in the development organization as the team is on a journey of improving the way with integrate data from own (but also 3rd party) food retail controllers and devices, and you will need to fully understand the digitalization vision of the different groups within the segment and operatively help develop our software to give your contribution to our success. Since the main segment is the food retail industry, understanding of food retail applications and devices from a previous role would come in handy in this role (but it is not mandatory as such training can also be provided by Danfoss).

 

The work will involve coming up with the best architecture (and design) for integrating data from internal and third party devices and services as well as operatively helping with development of such services as part of one of the scrum teams. On top of that the data integration expert will also be involved in onboarding of new customers (supermarkets) to the platform investigating the best ways of integrating with the systems of the customer.

 You will often need align with the internal and external stakeholders and function as a representative of the development team to the different stakeholders for data integration related topics. Of course, as one of our key points of contact for data integration related topics, you will help train users and support them during test and go-live periods.

Background & Skills

For this role, it is recommended that you have a university degree in computer science with substantial experience in change management in a modern software development environment. As a person, you are proactive and an effective communicator with a collaborative and open-minded attitude. Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Experience working on software development projects using scrum and/or scaled agile frameworks
  • Proven track-record working with relational DBs (experience with PostgreSQL is a strong plus)
  • Experience working with food retail data is a strong plus
  • Experience using Kafka or similar message broker for data distribution
  • In-depth knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript
  • Familiarity with API development best practices and security standards
    • Including techniques like OAuth, Webhooks
  • Experience with writing test automation
  • Familiarity with Containers and Kubernetes
  • End product oriented approach
  • Abilitiy to interact in a constructive manner inside and outside the team
  • Experience using Azure DevOps optional but nice to have
  • Ability to learn new technologies
  • Fluent in English
  • Aditional plus is the general familiarity with one or more technoglogies like: Java Spring Boot, MS SQL, Rust
