Job Description

Does becoming a key member of an international team developing new control systems ranging from enterprise to the embedded systems level appeal to you? Then you might be the Hardware and Software Electronics Engineer we are looking for in our R&D department. Your overall mission will be to develop electronics for IoT embedded systems. You will join our competent team and be working with a wide range of the most current technologies in a dedicated business unit.

Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibility will be to design digital circuits and the embedded SW for them. To this end, you will cooperate closely with your colleagues in designated teams, ensuring that applications and/or machines meet standards and customer requirements. You can look forward to be working in a multi-cultural environment where you will have contacts across the globe.

More specifically, you will:

  • Specify the tasks based on the specifications
  • Participate in cross functional engineering tasks
  • Design HW circuits covering analogue and digital functions
  • Develop the embedded SW using C/C++
  • Solving technical and quality issues
  • Being responsible for coordinating with the Supply Chain,
  • Performing debugging and verification of the circuits and the related Embedded SW
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant standards (UL, CE, LVD etc.)
  • Ensure a high level of quality in the products

Background & Skills

Electronics Engineering or Informatics will be considered a plus. Furthermore, you have:

  • an engineer education in electronics or informatics.
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience with embedded electronics
  • team oriented mind-set.
  • be capable of managing your work by yourself or as a team member
  • have a good knowledge both spoken and written of the English language
  • Knowledge about EMI/EMC design principles
  • Good knowledge and experience with Analog and Digital electronics design
  • Good C/C++ programming experience
  • Installation and debugging of communication protocols for USB, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Lon, Can Bus (CanOpen), Modbus, Bacnet and other industrial standards
  • Knowledge and expertise in ST and/or Microchip microprocessors (STM32 Cortex-M families and/or PIC32 MM series)
  • Familiarity with versioning control tools (GIT)
  • Knowledge about embedded RTOS (FreeRTOS) is a plus
  • Knowledge of Agile principles is a plus
  • Test Driven Development (TDD) process is a plus

Moreover, you must have solid analytical abilities, good communication skills and a positive and open mind. You must have a strong team spirit and be able to build relations and cooperate across borders and cultures. For this reason, you also need to have English fluency.
