Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions are seeking a Project Manager, Procurement to support the initiation, planning, design and delivery of projects, to be based from our Danfoss Power Solutions’ Controls Site in Warwick, UK.  As a Project Manager, Procurement you will be form part of our global procurement team who are located across Denmark, USA, Brazil, India, Italy, Great Britain and China.  This role will involve some domestic and international travel (up to 30%) to other Danfoss sites and external locations as required.

Job Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, Procurement, your key responsibilities will include:  

 

  • Creating continuous Cost Savings Pipeline (constrained and unconstrained) by understanding category/sourcing trends and challenging the status quo.
  • Communicating project status to all relevant and appropriate stakeholders, including regular reports to senior business leaders as required.
  • Effective and efficient implementation of approved projects from end-to-end, ensuring all expectations and deliverables are met.  This include forming and managing team resources, timelines, action plans, savings, expenses, and supplier relationships.
  • Effective management of all assigned or temporary resources to secure a successful outcomes and implementations to include people as well as capital funding for tooling and fixtures.
  • Coordinating activities between Global and/or Regional Category Managers (GCM/RCM) and Product Development Team to achieve the best cost, quality, and delivery sourcing decisions. 
  • Working with suppliers, internal customers, management and stakeholders to identify, visualize and mitigating potential risks for the projects

Background & Skills

To shine in this position, the Project Manager, Procurement should display:
 

  • Degree-qualification or equivalent in business, technology, project management, or other related field
  • Significant detailed experience in project management, engineering, supplier quality or supplier relations,  category management,  procurement, purchasing or buying, operations, or technology
  • Experience with categories and components in hydraulic systems would be advantageous
  • Certified Project Manager credentials and/or manufacturing experience would be advantageous
  • Strong ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and drive positive results through creation of positive relationships
  • Strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
