Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions is in the search of Procurement Sourcing Project Manager to be successfully initiating, planning, and designing projects with excellent execution and control to be delivered to timeline while maintaining quality and cost targets.  You will be part of a global procurement team, currently consisting of Project Managers, located in Denmark, USA, Brazil, India, Italy, Great Britain and China. 


This position will be located in Danfoss Power Solutions’ Controls Site in Warwich, GB. Expected travelling will be 30%, both domestic and international.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Sourcing Project Manager, your key responsibilities will be to:  

 

  • Create continuous Cost Savings Pipeline (constrained and unconstrained) for technical and sourcing levers by understanding category/sourcing trends and challenging the status quo.
  • Communicate the project status to all relevant and appropriate people involved in or needing to know the overall status.  This includes regular reports to senior business leaders.
  • Effective and efficient implementation of approved projects from end-to-end, ensuring all expectations and deliverables are met.  This would include but not limited to forming and managing team resources, timelines, action plans, savings, expenses, and supplier relationships.
  • Effective management of all assigned or temporary resources to secure a successful outcomes and implementations to include people as well as capital funding for tooling and fixtures.
  • Coordinate activities between Global and/or Regional Category Managers (GCM/RCM) and Product Development Team to achieve the best cost, quality, and delivery sourcing decisions. 
  • Work with suppliers, internal customers, management and stakeholders to identify, visualize and mitigating potential risks for the projects

  • Degree in business, technology, project management, or other related field combined with 7+ years of experience in project management, engineering, procurement, operations, or technology
  • Experience with categories and components in hydraulic systems a strong preference
  • Certified Project Manager credentials and/or manufacturing experience is an advantage
  • Strong ability to lead people and groups
  • Strong MS Office skills specifically Excel and PowerPoint
