Senior Design Engineer

Job Description

 - Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls (RAC), R&D and Engineering is looking for Senior Design Engineer to strengthen our team in China Wuqing factory. 
 - Through strong, cross functional teamwork in an agile environment, we create innovative solutions, which drive Product design to meet customer and market needs, and lead cost down activities to reduce cost, improve product function or both by using value analysis and value engineering.

Job Responsibilities

 - Responsible for mechanical design of cost down project and NPD of  PL01/PL40 products
 - Validate ideas and concepts by using design tools and risk management
 - Evaluating concepts, simulation and test results to incorporate them into product optimizations
 - Documenting design approvals and validations
 - Design to cost and manufacturing with strong commercial focus
 - Using simulation and calculation tools for design improvements 
 - Presenting and driving your ideas through the organization
 - Develop products with focus on quality cost and time with the necessary tools

Background & Skills

 - Bachelor and/or Master in Mechanical/Mechatronics or a similar education combined with a technical background, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills. Fluent and comprehensive English skills is also a must.
 - Solid knowledge of mechanical design methods, fluids and thermodynamics, manufacturing and joining processes, mechanical strength and dimensions
 - Minimum 5 years of experience in Advanced Engineering, Innovation,  and/or Technology. VA/VE experience is prefered
 - Practical experience with Technology Scouting, Innovation, Development, verification and validation of Mechanical and Electronic product solutions and systems
